Lindsay and Clay!

Miss Lindsay wanted a pink, zebra, peace sign birthday cake and I had the privilege of making it for her. She was very specific about how she wanted her name,"NOT my name, just my initials: LGH." I think I got down all the details and in the end she was happy with her cake : )

Clay, on the other hand, didn't care as long as his cake was muddy and had lots of monster trucks on it!

Fall Cake

I had a bunch of icing and flowers left over from the wedding cake so I made a little fall cake for one of my cousins. It was super easy to do and they loved it! It was cute because it was so small but it still looked like a tiered cake. I think I want to start making "petite tiers" and do little mini tiered cakes. I think it would be unique and different from the standard size cakes.

Ladybug Shower Cake

I got to make a fun little ladybug cake for a baby shower on Friday. It was cute and I loved the 3-D ladybug on the top of the cake!

Glad thats over!

So, this weekend I almost killed myself with school, work, Hunter, and cake baking. I had three cake orders to do in two days and one was a wedding cake. I had a woman call me on Tuesday night and ask if I could make a cake for Saturday, all it had to be was: 3 layers, one chocolate, one vanilla, and one strawberry, and in fall colors. Ok, sounds easy right? Well on Thursday I find out that this is her daughter's wedding cake!!!! I go into panic mode and start baking all these huge layers,I also had just found out that the cake needed to feed 100-150 people. I didn't know what I had got myself into. I don't like to be rushed and stressed, and this cake definitely stressed and rushed! After working through the night Friday I finished the wedding cake! I think it turned out ok considering the situation!

My two favorite cousins celebrated their 10th birthday on Friday and I got to make their cakes! I kind of felt like I was working for Miley Cyrus with Katie, she changed her mind about fifty times and emailed me tons of pictures. She is definately her mother's daughter for sure! Carter on the other hand was very easy going and laid back about how he wanted his cake. He just said make it camo, and that was that! The party was so much fun and the kids loved their cakes. Here's a few pictures!
